This is a clear bag venue, and security here confiscates rather than stores. Two minutes on this page saves you a walk back to the car.

  • Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
  • Clear one-gallon resealable storage bags
  • Small clutches up to 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a strap, any color
  • Diaper bags with an infant or small child, meeting the clear bag specs
  • Medical bags, inspected at a designated gate

  • Backpacks and fanny packs
  • Camera bags and drawstring bags
  • Tinted or printed pattern plastic bags
  • Oversized totes and large purses over the size limit

Permitted Items

  • Non-professional cameras without detachable lenses. Photography rules can vary per event.
  • Binoculars, carried without a case
  • Blankets for the lawn seating areas
  • Seat cushions, as long as they have no arms or pockets
  • Factory sealed water bottles up to one liter per person
  • Small snacks in clear plastic bags. No large coolers or picnic baskets.
  • Personal items like cell phones, small portable chargers, keys, and hygiene items

Prohibited Items

  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms and knives
  • Outside alcohol. It is sold inside the venue.
  • Illegal drugs and substances
  • Professional recording equipment, video cameras, audio recorders, and cameras with detachable lenses
  • Large umbrellas. Small collapsible ones may be allowed, confirm with the venue.
  • Laser pointers
  • Aerosol cans, including spray sunscreen and bug spray
  • Glass containers of any kind, including perfume bottles
  • Pets, except service animals. See our ADA page.
  • Signs, flags, and banners unless an event specifically allows them

Entry Screening

Every guest and every bag is subject to search on the way in, which can include bag checks, metal detectors, and pat-downs. Prohibited items are confiscated and not returned, and there is no bag check or locker at the venue, so the car is your only fallback. Rules can tighten for specific events, so glance at your event page before you head out.

Bag Policy Questions

Does the Toyota Amphitheater require a clear bag?

Yes. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a clear one-gallon resealable storage bag. The one exception is a small clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches, which does not have to be clear.

Are backpacks allowed at the Toyota Amphitheater?

No. Backpacks, fanny packs, camera bags, drawstring bags, tinted or printed plastic bags, and oversized totes are all prohibited, even if they are see-through tinted.

Can I bring water or food?

One factory sealed water bottle up to one liter per person is allowed, and small snacks in clear plastic bags generally get in. No coolers, picnic baskets, glass, or outside alcohol.

What happens to prohibited items at the gate?

They are confiscated and not returned. There is no bag check at the venue, so leave anything questionable at home or locked in your car.

Do diaper bags and medical bags follow the same rules?

Diaper bags are permitted when accompanying an infant or small child but still need to meet the clear bag specifications. Bags carrying medical supplies are allowed and are inspected at a designated gate.
